A Chic Week in Madrid

Mix together enthralling heritage, an air of sophistication and an energetic party streak and you have the perfect city in which to indulge with a truly Chic Week. Yep that’s Madrid. Spain’s oh-so-hip capital and cultural gem is also a style hotspot where you can find fashion inspiration from the streets of the city. Then head out to Las Rozas Village for some indulgent retail time.

Grand settings

Once you touch down in Madrid you’ll be whisked off to your hotel, the grand, simply mesmerising Hotel Ritz Madrid. A baroque palace in the heart of Madrid’s ‘Golden Triangle’, Hotel Ritz is within walking distance of the city’s famous museums and eateries where you can tuck into a wide variety of traditional Spanish tapas and Mediterranean fusion dishes. Staying true to the Bellé Époque style, the rooms at the Ritz feature sumptuous detailing such as luxurious marble bathtubs, and furnishings in warm hues of gold and crimson with views over the Prado Museum and the hotel gardens.

A chic day out

What to do when you wake up in the midst of this luxury? Hop onto the Shopping Express™ service and you’ll be on the leafy avenues of Las Rozas Village, one of the Chic Outlet Shopping® Villages, in half an hour. Amble around the Village, which evokes Spain’s colourful history, and take your pick from more than a hundred luxury designer boutiques. Once you’ve soaked up the Spanish style in Roberto Verino and Desigual, give your legs a rest and take a seat at The Lobby Café, where you can indulge in some of their delectable desserts. Return to the capital with your new wardrobe and hit the sack early for some well-deserved shut-eye.

Madrid mystique

Spend a few days soaking up some culture and float around the Spanish streets where you’ll be met by a huge variety of architecture, a result of the city’s multi-layered heritage. After days popping into gallery after gallery, it’s time to give your taste buds a treat in the countless Michelin-starred restaurants that abound in the city. If you’re really celebrating, go for the divine Santceloni restaurant, where you can revel in dishes that come from all regions and traditions of Spain.
