A Chic Week in Barcelona
Europe’s undisputed capital of eccentricity and design, Barcelona is high on our list for experiencing a Chic Week. Here at the jewel of Spain’s sun-kissed east coast, with the Mediterranean Sea on one side and the Catalan countryside on the other you’ll find a whole host of unique experiences to sink your teeth into. Once you’ve had your fill of the sights and sounds of Barcelona we’ll whisk you off to the super stylish Catalan infused La Roca Village, where you can pick up exclusive brands like a few of our favourite’s Adolfo Dominguez, Lupo and and Munich. Sounds like your kind of Chic Week? Read on…
Once you touch down in Barcelona you’ll be whisked off to your sleek crash-pad for the next five nights, The Pulitzer Hotel. A stone’s throw from Plaça Catalunya, and within easy reach of the city’s Gothic and El Born quarters, those who love to be surrounded by an artsy vibe will feel right at home at this designers playground. Each of the 92 rooms is designed with comfort and style in mind, with Superior Doubles reflecting an architect’s studio. Think high-gloss black doors, hinged headboards upholstered in vertical black pinstripe, and large spacious seating areas for you to sit back and relax with a good book. Once settled in, take to the streets to soak up the balmy after hours ambiance at a local tapas joint.
Hitting the pavement
Once feeling revitalised after a good night’s rest it’s time to hit the pavements and explore this intoxicatingly beautiful city. Renowned for its artistic heritage and breath-taking architecture the visual impact of Barcelona is enough to leave you awe-struck. Explore the Barri Gòtic area where you can marvel at the Gothic architecture and stop at one of the cafés lining the historical plazas. No visit to Barcelona would be complete without a stop at the Parc Güell, designed by local and iconic artist Antonio Gaudi.
Spanish designs and Catalan chic
After taking a few days to explore the city it’s time to hop foot it to Chic Outlet Shopping® destination of La Roca Village. A mere 40 minutes’ drive from the city centre here you’ll find a vibrant collection of boutiques bursting at the seams with famous international and Spanish names, such as Sandro, and Bimba & Lola. Once you’ve shopped till you (almost) drop, settle down for a bite to eat at the café Andreu, where you can sample their famous jamon, cheeses and smoked salmons, washed down with a glass of Rioja of course. Simply delectable we say.
